Dr. Hedges graduated in 1980 from Rhodes College at Memphis with a B.S. in Biology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1984. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the Arkansas Medical Society and the Pulaski County Medical Society.

Dr. Hedges is married and has three children, two daughters and a son. His hobbies are woodworking and snowboarding. His family attends Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Little Rock.
